This Privacy Policy explains how Snipekit processes personal data when you use the app on iOS or Android.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use Snipekit, we may process the following data:
Account data
When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we process your email address, name where provided, account identifier, and sign-in method.
Saved searches
We store your saved search queries, optional maximum prices, selected marketplaces, active/inactive status, and optional country filters.
We do not collect your GPS location.
Listing data
For matching eBay listings, we process information such as title, price, currency, image URL, listing URL, and timestamps.
We may also store your status for a listing, such as want, waiting, or pass, and whether you have seen it.
Push notifications
If you enable notifications, we process your Expo push token and device platform so that we can send you listing alerts.
Subscription data
If you subscribe, Apple or Google processes your payment. We do not receive your card number or full payment details.
RevenueCat processes your app user identifier and subscription status to determine whether your subscription is active.
Analytics and diagnostics
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, for product analytics, error reporting, and session replay.
This may include account and device information, usage events, technical diagnostics, and content visible within the app during a recorded session.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. How we use your data
We process your data to:
- provide and secure your Snipekit account;
- run your saved searches and provide matching listings;
- send push notifications;
- manage subscriptions;
- maintain, secure, and improve the app;
- diagnose technical problems and errors; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the purpose, the legal basis may be:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract;
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent;
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR — legal obligation; or
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service.
4. Service providers
We may share personal data with providers that help us operate Snipekit, including:
- Apple — authentication, App Store, purchases, and iOS push notifications;
- Google — authentication and Google Play billing;
- Supabase — authentication, database storage, and server functions;
- Expo — push notification delivery;
- eBay — retrieving listings matching your searches;
- RevenueCat — subscription management; and
- PostHog — analytics, diagnostics, and session replay.
We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect our rights, users, or service.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.
Where required, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
PostHog for Snipekit is hosted in the European Union.
6. Data retention
We generally keep your account data, saved searches, matches, and push notification data while your account exists.
When you delete your account, we delete the corresponding data from our systems.
Some records may remain with third-party providers according to their own retention policies. We may also retain information where required by tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- request deletion;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format where applicable; and
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Children
Snipekit is not directed at children under 16.
If you believe that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can delete it.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.
However, no method of storing or transmitting data can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email.
